O valioso patrimonio hist\u00f3rico de Vilalba e a s\u00faa natureza de mananciais, r\u00edos e augas termais marcan a identidade de todo o concello. atopados no abrigo de <strong>Pena Grande<\/strong>, antigo refuxio de cazadores do Paleol\u00edtico. A Torre dos Andrade, hoxe convertida en Parador de Turismo, \u00e9rguese sobre a vila como s\u00edmbolo do seu pasado medieval. Ao seu arredor, o casco hist\u00f3rico conserva o trazado tradicional de r\u00faas e prazas, xunto a elegantes edificios como a igrexa de Santa Mar\u00eda.<br>Todo o territorio do concello est\u00e1 sementado de fermosos exemplos do seu patrimonio arquitect\u00f3nico:<strong> igrexas, cruceiros, pazos e casas de labranza<\/strong> evocan a vida rural galega, mentres que as <strong>escolas habaneiras<\/strong> lembran a pegada da emigraci\u00f3n e o v\u00ednculo con Am\u00e9rica. E non deixes de visitar os cemiterios neog\u00f3ticos da contorna, como os de Goiriz ou San Rom\u00e1n, aut\u00e9nticas xoias arquitect\u00f3nicas que revelan a extraordinaria mestr\u00eda dos canteiros da zona.
